How do I back up my files in Win. 7?

There were instructions that read,

"If you've never used Windows Backup before, click Set up backup and then follow the steps in the wizard. I was not able to find 'Set up backup'.

Go Windows orb > control panel > Backup and restore button.
You will then see options in blue to 'turn on schedule' & 'change settings'
If you click on the change settings it will give a message that backup is starting, it's not actually backing up at that point but will then give you a window from which you can choose where you'd like your backup files to be stored.
