Now don't get me wrong nVidia are great cards, but i like ATI so as a good M8 of mine is buying my two ATI 4890s I want to go for the new ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card ... but its pre order atm !, looked at three hardware sites i use and it looks like i will have to wait, ordered a few mins ago and they will let me know via e-mail when the card is in/dispatched, i just hope its not to long ...

Are the games DX11 compliant?
You may not notice much difference.
I am curious to know if you notice any difference.

The 5970 is so powerful that it's CPU limited by every CPU currently on the market. I wish I were making that up. ;D

That's making me drool just thinking about one card being better than a crossfire config with 2 4890's

Well it is Crossfire in one unit Clifford so if someone was to have two 5970s it would be quad-fire ... but it wont be me as that would be over £1000 on graphics !

Its a bit of a grey area Clifford some say its Crossfire in one others say its a dual card, but anyway one can do all i need it to do (just being ripping up Crysis :D). As we all know the GPU war will go on and nVidia will be working on something to top the 5970, soon need a separate PSU just for the Graphics Card !.

I downloaded the sample version of Crysis. I played it last night and enjoyed the game. I have not been a gamer and suck with the controls. I am learning though. Who knows after a few games, I might feel the need in upgrading to the 5970. However thats not needed for a 19" monitor, the monitor would be another upgrade. Also my CPU, Memory, & Power Supply. Lets just face it, I'm not ready for the 5970. :(
