Saw someone else's post about needing a password for the BIOS. My screen froze on the Windows welcome. Tried entering the BIOS and was offered two choices: start normally or repair and the repair needed a password. That's when I called the pro. I'm not good at passwords, they're a PITA but I never had a password for that. I don't know my administrator password!

You can blame the brain tumor.
