as2 files in My Documents

I have load of mostly ".as2" files (approx 300) in "My Documents" folder, which suddenly appeared there. Do you have any idea if the system will be affected at all, if I would simply DELETE all of them? And also WHY they appeared there?

You could delete the files, they don't seem important or affect the system

Thanks, I'll delete them. Any idea how did they get to "My documents" at all?
