When you update Adobe Flash Player and Reader, is it best to uninstall them first before you install the updated version?

Also, is the latest Flash Player finally compatible with a 64 bit browser?

It may be a better choice but I never do uninstall first.

Still curious if anyone knows the status of the Flash Player's compatibility with
the 64 bit browsers?
I searched Adobe but couldn't get anything definitive. Adobe is just weird.

After reading the latest news it still appears, Adobe Flash Player "Square" is the version you will need for a 64-bit browser.

Edit:
Keep in mind the last update was Preview 3, dated back Nov 30th 2010.

I'm using the Flash player square and it works just fine with IE9 64-bit.

Adobe has a flash player for 64 bit google it. I have it installed for my 64 bit IE 9

I just upgrade it and let the upgrading upgrade, updated and replace their files.
Sure they can handle it well.
