Administrator permissions problems

OK here's the deal.

I am set up as an administrator, I have also enabled the Administrator
account, but this BEAST wants something more.

I try to delete folders such as 'Found.000' and 'Found.001', and I get
"You need permission to perform this action".

This happens whether I log on myself, a user with ADMIN privileges or as
the Administrator.

What does it take to keep this OS from protecting me from me!

I go through this all the time. I am the administrator of whatever
Microsoft lets me be . Right click on the file and then go into
properties and see if you can not change the permissions and security for
the file to something that lets you delete it.

Tried all that. Something else is wrong. I think Microsoft finally
found out I hate them and they created Windows 7 to put me back in my place.

Those folders indicate problems with the file structure on that drive,
which may or may not be resolved now. That would be my bigger concern.

You probably have to take ownership of the file then give yourself full permissions.
Right-click > Properties > Security.
Click on the 'Advanced' button.
Select 'Owner' tab.
If you are not the owner click on 'Edit'.
Select your name (or Administrators).
Apply, then check the permissions tab.
Once you own the file you can give yourself full control.

Try deleting the file(s) from a console. But before opening the console,
right-click on it an select "run as administrator".

You may think you are already running as an admin, but there is at least one
higher admin level. I tried to run a netstat command from the console, and
got a reply something like "To run this command you need elevation". I
could run it only by using the right-click selection mentioned above, even
though I am the only user of the computer (and hence an administrator by
design).

I have used the "Take Ownership" registry edit and it works very well to
unlock all the many folders that Win 7 has locked apparently to
everyone. Find it at
