301 and 303 smart hard disk error

can someone plz help on the topic of hard disk errors 301 , 303

When do you get this error, is it as soon as your machine is powered on?

I can't see those smart error codes on the Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.M.A.R.T.) - however if you're not able to boot up then that isn't a good sign.

i bought the notebook overseas in jul 10 and am now in india. would that make even worse. the sys takes me to sys diagnostics and start normal modes.
