    I got this error: "0x8007042B - 0x2000D migrate_data safe_os" when trying to upgrade to Win 10

Hi, Any ideas what the problem could be? Someone online called this error the Windows 10 Anniversary Update Error. Does this mean that it is related to trying to get a free upgrade to Win 10? If so, that is not what I was trying to do. I purchased Windows 10 Pro 64-bit from Microsoft and...

INTELLIGENT SECTOR BACKUP vs EXACT BACKUP - AOMEI Backupper

    SOLVED Permissions question

Thanks so much for your response -- I really appreciate it! Aren't all the system folders in the Windows folder on the C drive? I just checked and the Windows folder permissions were not changed (The sharing tab lists it as "not shared" and the security tab does not have "everyone" listed in...

    SOLVED Permissions question

I have a two-computer home network, both computers with Win 7 Pro 64-bit. I recently went into the security permissions settings on one of my computers' C drive (via the security tab: properties/security/edit/add/advanced/find now ) and added "everyone" (because of a suggestion I found...
