I thought it might be interesting to see what speed broadband we are all using, as we've got people from all over the world using this site.

I've added a poll with most options covered.

At the moment, I'm on an 8Mbps ADSL connection - mainly as this speed is fast enough for me and it's free from my mobile phone provider . I could get up to 20Mbps in this area, but there's no point in upgrading at the moment.

I have 4mbps, or that's what I'm paying for. Occasionally, it drops, but it increases at night when fewer users are on it.

also i believe the options for the poll are wrong.
shouldnt it be more like
1-4
5-10
11-20
21-30

etc etc. overlapping options dont really work?

I don't have any of the above. Mine is a straight 10MB connection, and never falls below 9.8. As far as I know, Virgin do not offer 1-4 or 5-10 etc. It is either a straight 10 or 20 or whatever.

Yes, good point - I'll clarify the options now

I just added those options as bands, as there are so many possible speeds (common ones being 0.5,1,2,4,8,10,12,15,20,25,40,50Mbps for broadband alone) - so 10MB would go in the 10-19 range
