Evidently it was not installed by the installer.

Control Panel >> All Control Panel Items >> Programs and Features
or
Control Panel >> Programs >> Programs and Features

then look to the left side
Turn Windows Features on or off

The very first option is games. Make sure that Hearts has a check in the box beside the name under games. Or simply place a check beside games to install all of them.

Once installed there will be a link to Hearts in the start menu.
Start Menu >> All Programs >> Games >> Hearts

I found hearts...yeah!! I did not install Windows myself. There were other things in Programs that did not have a check and I was wondering if everything should have a check. Windows 7 is so much different than Windows XP. How would I know what things in Programs should have a check? Thanks again of helping me with Hearts.

As long as you can do everything you want, there is no need in making changes. As far as the other settings, I would not mess with them until you find a need in making a change. By then maybe you will know you need to make the change and which changes need to be done.

Actually they aren't installed by default. I found this out when I tried to play some of the default games. None of them were installed.

What I do in this kind of case, is import the game from XP to 7. I just copy the game sources and put them on the other computer. Because of the newer OS, there is no compatibility problems.

Cheers,

Go to

C:\WINDOWS\system32\msheart.exe
Copy that .exe file to your Windows 7 machine and make a link to it in the games. Though, If I were you, I wouldn't do it, because you might still have problems with missing dll's. It crashes on my machine after about 5 mins of playing. Just stay with the one in WIndows 7 or download one from the internet.

Cheers,
