WMP issue

I'm having this issue when I use WMP. It loads up and functions but when I close it I can't rerun it. I have to open task manager and end its process that it has left running for some reason. Does anyone else have this issue?

I have had this issue with other programs but not used WMP enough to know if it does this or not
Perhaps its not just WMP that is at fault here
