Or use different personas in Forte Agent...

....and there are probably lots of other similar answers in other
programs.

Quite. And I still can't understand why the OP should require "different
personas" for newsgroups on the same news server in the first place...

what is wrong with that option? if enough feel the same, someone who can

And the obvious answer is because there's only one user account on the
PC that several people use, and they each want their own newsgroup persona,

I guess so - but the OP has consistently told us NOTHING.....
