I have a problem that happens occasionally.
For some reason many of my apps suddenly start to snap to the top left hand corner.
For example, I move a Windows Explorer window to a new position but rather than staying where I dragged it, it snaps back to the top left hand corner of my screen.
The same happens with Virtualdub, MS Word, X1 to name a few.
Others, like Firefox and Outlook behave as expected.

Any ideas?

football, the issue you mention is for desktop icons that automatically rearrange.

I believe natrei is actually referring to the W7 "Aero Snap" feature. The Aero Snap feature is designed so that if you move an open window (not icons) and it bumps any edge of your screen that it snaps to that edge. To see if this is what is causing your issue natrei, disable Aero Snap. See how HERE.

Thanks TrainableMan, you pointed me in the right direction.
I love the "Aero Snap" feature, it's just a pain when it breaks.

What I did was switch it off, move my Windows to confirm it does not "snap".
Because I actually want the feature, switch on the "Aero Snap" feature.
Bingo, the windows now snap to the correct location.

An interesting observation was that even when it was "broken" using the [Windows key] + [right arrow], would snap the window to the right edge.
