Hello,
Here's a strange one I've noticed recently with my 32-bit Windows 7 RC installation on a Dell OptiPlex 740.
When resuming from Standby, after entering my password and returning to the Desktop, Windows Media Player is open and says it is 'updating library'. If I then close WMP it immediately re-opens and does the same thing. Neither can I minimize the windows as it just pops straight back on top again. I cannot get focus on another window at all.
CTRL+ALT+DEL and ending the process doesn't help either and a reboot is the only way of getting rid of WMP shouting 'look at me!'

Anyone else had this issue? Cheers

It looks like this is a common problem with Windows 7 as I've heard of many other people having this issue. If you move your music and photos out of the libraries, does WMP behave itself?

edit: someone here had success by disabling "Maintain my star ratings as global ratings in files":

Well Ian, I ony had the default media files and pictures included with Windows 7 so I've deleted them. I'll see what happens over the next few standbys and update the thread. Cheers, Dave.
