Does anyone have a problem with WMP? It just does not play good after the computer has been on for several hours. I have a fiber connection, 8 g's of memory and a fast cpu and its only 18 months old. video goes bad and audio breaks up or just plain does not work

This is not a answer to your problem.
Not fond of WMP12, I disabled it and installed a classic WMP.

Never had a problem using this media player. I installed the
64 edition.

A different way to remove the WMP12 problem.

WMP works fine for me, even after many hours. Do you have any other symptoms and does the problem go away if you restart WMP?

You can give another media player a go and see if that helps. I also use Media Player Classic that beamish linked to, as well as VLC player.

Yes, if I restart the symptoms go away but will come back after a few hours again. I do use another player that works just fine. Its just WMP. Not just the audio but the video also

This is a Windows Media forum, may be of some use .

Check Event Viewer, Windows Logs. There may be an error report and
a link to Microsoft.
