Hi I hope someone can help me with my little problem,
I was running windows 7 ultimate on my HP pavilion Dv6700, my 250Gig hard drive had an error and lost the file allocation tables so I had to format it externally in an external usb case. now when i try and install windows on the laptop it can't see the drive. Ubuntu installed perfectly on the same laptop after windows failed but i would like to run my windows 7 again. any help would be greatly appreciated

Does the drive show up in the BIOS at all? If so, where does the drive problem of not appearing show up? During the install of Windows 7?

A little more information would be helpful.

Thanks - Nibs

Installing Windows over Ubuntu is BAD. It's a pain.
Format completely and then install Windows. Then install Linux over it, using Wubi, for example
