Hello everyone,
I have been having an odd problem with Windows 7. I am running 7 Pro 64Bit on Thinkpad X220. The volume has a variation from source to source, for example videos on youtube would be very low but streaming radio would be high (both has own vol bar on high).

Then when I disable all enhancements, the volume is nice and high but garbled. The bass would be way too high and on-board speakers crackle (even when I turn down the volume very low, I can hear them crackling, not sure what's the reason)

So I find myself having to turn enhancements on and off. I wonder if anyone had this issue before.

Check and see if there is a sound driver update for your Thinkpad.

Thanks, even though I did all the automated system updates from Lenovo, I will manually check as it sometimes does not catch.
