I installed the Virtual machine on my Windows 7 Pro machine and it
worked very well. However, lately, when you launch Virtual PC, it takes
something like 3-4 minutes and them give the notice that it couldn't
enable integration features. As far a I remember, the only change was
that XP updated in the Virtual PC. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks.

Under the Tools menu is an "Install Integration Components" entry or the like.

In past versions of VirtualPC, the add-ons package was a virtual CD of sorts,
and presumably it had an autorun on it so that as soon as it was opened, it
would install the integration components. The integration components make
additions to the guest OS files, such that drag and drop or some form of
hardware passthru would work. As far as I know, you can install that package
over and over again.

Integration components generally only exist for Windows. The ones for Linux
are traditionally limited to a very few distros (i.e. the ones we don't use
or own).

I just downloaded the VirtualPC package for my Win7 laptop, so I could get to
that Tools menu, and I must say, I'm unimpressed. I tried to start a new
virtual machine and install Ubuntu (since I don't qualify for WinXP Mode
500MB virtual machine), and it's bombing out. Woopee. By comparison,
the VirtualPC2007 on my WinXP machine, isn't that unstable.

First, along the menu of the window thay XP runs (Tools), select
'reinstal'l or 'enable integration features', and restart.

As for the time to boot XP Mode, get used to it. Sorry.
