They didn't remove that option, as you'll see when you investigate
some of the links provided by the Google search from Justine.

Or just go to the source. Step by step instructions from Microsoft on
how to install the Quick Launch Toolbar in Windows 7:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...12(WS.10).aspx

Personally, I prefer building my own custom toolbar from scratch.

1. Create an empty folder somewhere out of the way and name it whatever
you want as your toolbar title. (Lacking any imagination, I call mine
"Toolbar.")

2. Fill the folder with shortcuts to whatever files you want listed on
your toolbar.

3. Add the folder to the taskbar as a new toolbar.

Initially I also missed having the Quick Launch bar in Windows 7. Then I
discovered the "pinning to taskbar" function & realized it accomplishes
essentially the same function. However, now that I look at the screenshots
from the link you posted, I might just try it.
Thanks,
Rich

So search for classic task bar software. There are many, so I am told.

I'm happy with Win 7's approach, so I have no URLs for you.
