Is there a way to lower Windows 7's startup sound volume? I've got the rest of Windows 7's sounds configured to my liking in the volume mixer. I've looked in msconfig and haven't found any options there for lowering the Startup Sound's volume.

I don't know of an option to adjust the Start Up Sound volume. Perhaps in the registry but I don't know for sure.

I know there is an option in the free application: Ultimate Windows Tweaker which will turn it off if desired.

I checked the Sounds options and may just turn off the startup sound. I found a website a couple weeks ago that had a download link for Vista's Ultimate Extra's sound schemes and another one that had Holde em ( Vista's U.E.'s version). Both downloads were malware free and work great in Windows 7.
