Hello everyone,
I am new here.
I am having problems with windows 7 64 bit ultimate. Before windows 7 64 i was using vista 32. All my games were running fine that I normally play. But with w7 64 bit I can not get battle field 2 to run.
Any help please
Thank you

The first suggestion would be try compatability mode but i guess you have already tried that with no luck.

Have you tried running the game with Windows 7 UAC turned off?

I've seen apps in the past that would not install with this feature turned on.

PS:
I'm not a gamer so I won't be of much help.

Aha Our freshman is already working!

Make sure you have the right version installed. Even though most 32bit apps work on 64bit Windows, there are some exceptions. A friend of mine has BF2 runnin on his install without any problems.

Hardware shouldn't be an issue. What error does it give you when you try to run? Or does it open and then close?

Try running as admin as well. Worked for me on some other games.

If disabling UAC works then next try restoring the UAC and checking "run as administrator" under the compatibility tab; that may be sufficient.

Thanks TM

Actually they might try the "Run as Adminastrator" before disabling UAC. Changing UAC settings require a Reboot.
