due to a sudden power cut, my pc shut down. on restarting windows it doesn't boot instead it's showing setup repair, and after repair completes, and restarts, it again shows the same setup thing. this is happening again and again. any help.

Sounds as if the sudden power stoppage might have messed up the boot dll files. You could try repair using the Windows 7 install disc. That will happen with hard drives sometimes, there's really not much that may be done regarding that.
More than likely you'll have to due a clean install though.
i dont want to reinstall it. i get only 15kbps and if i reinstall it then i ll have to reinstall all those updates again. with my speed it ll be huge pain in ass. that's why i m asking is there anything that i can do. here are the reports of problems :
