Hey guys,
Ive just recently upgraded to windows 7 from XP. I like the OS except for the fact that im getting this annoying problem with the Media player. Everytime i open it, it "Autoupdates" and it collects every single little music file From one of my games which includes thousands of them. This heavily slows down my computer and its getting to the point where i am ready to put XP back on. I have searched the net and have found no answer that works for me. Any assitance with this porblem would be greatly appreciated

Hi Andrew303 - Welcome to w7forums

Try this
  1. Open WMP
  2. Organize
  3. Manage Libraries
  4. Music
  5. See if there is a folder that may contain your game files
If you remove all the folders, there will not be any locations to update from. You can manually select where your music is located in the Manage Libraries option.

You can also change this setting in your Windows Explorer under the Libraries heading. Just righ Click the Properties of any folder in the Library list and you can select or remove library locations which will be reflected in your Medi Player and Media Center
