This may be a stupid question, but in order to perform a clean installof Windows 7 is it necessary to buy a complete version or can this be done from the upgrade version? I currently have Vista Home Premium and want to upgrade to Wondows 7 Home Premium.

Hello disae - Welcome to w7forums

You can do a clean install of Windows 7 with the upgrade disk. You will have an option when you start the install if you want to upgrade or do a clean install.
