Windows 7 HDD Issue

Try uninstalling the drive then reinstalling via Auto-Detect in BIOS

In Device Manager > Expand Disk Drives right-click on the HDD and remove from your system, close down your PC and disconnect the HDD unplug both its power supply and its data cable, boot the PC then close it down.

Now you need to reinstall the HDD connect power and data cables boot the PC and go in to BIOS use Auto-Detect check setup parameters screen to see the HDD is listed, Save and Exit Setup. Windows should detect a new piece of hardware and automatically load the correct driver for it, this MIGHT solve the problem, good luck.

That sounds like a good idea I will keep that one in mind for any future problems I come across.
