It is my hope that ALL future Windows OS's will be released this way, because WE will be the ones who will have to run it.............or stick with Windows 7. Unless there are major changes for the better, which would be hard to do with what we have now, I'll try the new OS out, but will most likely stick with Windows 7, as I did with XP over Vista, and move forward with the release after that. By that time, it will be time for a new PC. But, if BitLocker is included with the home versions of Windows 8, I will strongly consider going for it. Like I said, a major change for the better will have to be there.

Yeah, I think it was the open Beta and RCs that made it sell so fast. There had to be a lot of consumer-based advertising in order to do anything, because of the mistake that was Vista. Ick, we should use "Vista" as a swear word now.

I dabbled with Vista, did not like it at all, went back to XP Pro and once Windows 7 came out, asta la vista XP!

I have the same story as Kalario. I had XP for the longest time, then found out about Vista and saw a few screenshots and was amazed. I really really wanted it. I became obsessed, and people kept saying it was horrible. My logic back then was something like, "How could something look that awesome and be horrible?!". Then my friend emails me and tells me about Windows 7. I had heard of it. But then he mentioned the Beta and I was on it before you could say "BetaMan". I loved it. Very recently, I went to Hawaii (it was awesome) and the only computer available had Vista on it. I figured it couldn't be too bad. After that week, I really understand how horrible Vista is. Compared to anything else. Well now we all have 7 and we're happy!

Bill Gates Announces Windows 8

Betaman is this some kinda joke or did I miss something??? It's not what you said it was. It has nothing to do with Bill Gates or Windows 8.

Hmm... I Rickrolled you guys...

Wikipedia Article:
Quote:
Rickrolling is an Internet meme[1][2] typically involving the music video for the 1987 Rick Astley song "Never Gonna Give You Up". The meme is a bait and switch: a person provides a web link that they claim is relevant to the topic at hand, but the link actually takes the user to the Astley video. The URL can be masked or obfuscated in some manner so that the user cannot determine the true destination of the link without clicking. When a person clicks on the link and is led to the web page, he or she is said to have been "Rickrolled". The song may have been favored for this use by those regarding it as the worst[3] popular song of all time.
