There's lots of news about a leaked version of Windows 7 build 7227 on sites like iHackintosh. It has started to appear on some torrent sites but I can't find out if it's the real deal.

More info:

A VHD of build 7227 appeared early this morning on a Russian torrent site. It's legitimate but it's actually not all that many builds ahead of 7201.

You might remember back during the 70xx builds that RC and RTM build strings were synchronized so build 7105 = 7075, 7106 = 7076, 7107 = 7077 and so on. There was a big rush to get the newest version, 7106, only to find out it was older than 7077.

This is not entirely the case this time around, but it is important to know this:
Build 7200 = Build 7225.

This means that the build 7201 floating around the internet is also build 7226, and this leaked 7227 build is identical to build 7202. I'm sure some people will jump at the chance to install a build that's only one version ahead of the current newest, but I'll take a pass.

I wonder if anything noticable has changed in this build - did you see a changelog with the VHD?

I'll second that Thrax, it's too much of a hassle to install a clean build for what is only a very minor change.

Still no changelog. I don't think we'll ever see one.
