I'm sure you have all heard about the new build thats been leaked into the interwebz , Well i hope in this thread that we can all find out whats been sorted and what hasn't been addressed in build 7127.

OK what i did after i got my grubby Lil hands on the new build was boot into Vista and wiped my Windows 7 partition clean. Then i mounted the ISO with" Daemon Tools Lite" and went through the motions of setting 7 up.

The original RC is 2,471,656 KB and then new build is 2,656,156 KB.

After installing a 1311 KB update i then opted for a custom instal.... Blah Blah Blah You all know the drill, 28 minutes later windows 7 build 7127 was installed & to be honest it could have been 5 minutes quicker but my cat wanted feeding and he annoys me when he is hungry so i fed him screen shot supplied (1)

After booting up you get the fish wallpaper (2).... This happens to be a Lil joke from Mr Gates & Co ... I think the fish are either Japanese or Siamese fighting fish , it don't matter because the proper name from them is " betta fish" or..... beta fish, I'm sure ya worked out the pun and ya laughing hard.....OK, maybe not...moving swiftly on.

From the first looks of the new build , NO GUI improvements at all.

W7 is going to stay the way it looks and thats official..... BUT then obviously the customisation community is gonna do its thing and make transparent areo .msstyles and make it all pwetty n look cool n the gang !!!!!

I personally feel a bit silly because i commented on Ian's post about this build and mistook the web browser for a new GUI ( what was that by the way , Opera , Maxon, Firefox ?, I'm a IE8 man by the way )

OK I'm going to end this part here then Edit when i have upped some screens and time how long it takes to boot/reboot...BRB.

Right ... from pressing the restart button till my Os was up and running took 90 seconds , not to sad in my eyes but im sure some fan boy will say this about that and the other

The GUI is the same as we have seen in W7 RC and it feels virtually the same as well. Screens below .....

Thats pretty much my guided tour to the new release but please feel free to ask me to benchmark / test or darn right punish the new build....Hey we all love 7 so I'm up 4 it lmao. I test the "buggy " Superbar " and its rave like flashing whilst loading a web page soon... but pussy needs a hug ( the cats a sleep by the way fellas wink wink )

IF you want me to do any tests with the new build PLEASE feel free to ask, I am more than willing to elp out.Same as i will post about what reg hacks work n don't work .....TBC....

Comments on this leak...
The ISO images for Windows 7 build 7127, as described in this thread, were leaked by a user after acquiring them through Microsoft Connect (I know, I saw it happen). If you have downloaded this leaked version, either x86 or x64, and the CRC/hash values for those ISO images MATCH those above then you have the real deal. You can then feel comfortable installing because you have the authentic build. If they DO NOT MATCH, I would highly recommend that you NOT install them. Hash/CRC values can be calculated using Hashtab,Hash Calc, or a number of other free programs on the internet.

Should you upgrade to this new pre-RTM build? That depends on several factors. If you have build 7100 RC installed and you are not having any problems, I would recommend you leave well enough alone. But if you are having issues or some of your games do not play right, then install this build and most likely your issues will be solved.

Microsoft is doing a fantastic job with Windows 7. They have put more work into this OS than any other product in the past. So, I feel they should get a good ROI for their development work and I plan to purchase a copy once it is available as retail. I hope each of you will also.

In Windows 7 (build 7127) again it is possible to switch the window frame from "frosted glass" effect ("blur") into "fully transparent"

The full transparent effect was also possible in the builds 6956, 7022, 7048 and 7068
In the builds 7000, 7077 and 7100 it doesn't work.

You also can use this function in the build 7100 (RC), when you copy the two files "DWM.exe" and "uDWM.dll" from folder c:\windows\system32\ of Build 7127 into the Build 7100.

Whereby the file "DWM.exe" is responsible for the evaluation of the registry key ("HideBlur=1") and the file "uDWM.dll" for full transparency.

In order to overwrite these files at all, you first must acquire the full access rights at these files. Then "stop the service": "Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager" for a short time and copy the files from build 7127 into 7100. After that "restart the service": "Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager" again.
