Windows 7 should be able to find the audio drivers for most sound cards automatically, either when you initially install the operating system or when you run Windows Update. If this doesn't happen or you want to update your drivers, you'll need to go to the manufacturers website to download the latest software.

We have listed the most common places to download audio drivers, assuming you know the model and make of sound card in your PC. If you have an on-board sound chip, you may need to visit the motherboard driver page to download your drivers from there.

C-Media / CMI Drivers
Creative Labs / Sound Blaster Drivers
