Windows 7 and VS2008 Installation (Missing Recent Projects)

I just installed VS2008 and Recent Projects will not populate.
I attempt to Open websites with:

File> Open > WebSite

I Open, change, build, rebuild, it never populates to Recent Projects.

Setting Tools > Options > Environment > General > Recent files
is set to: 6 items shown in recently used lists


Recent Projects section on VS2008 Startup page remains empty.
I am on Windows 7 Enterprise (Version 6.1; Build 7601: SP1)
