Recently I bought a new computer with windows 7. Now problems are appearing. My HP PSC 950 all-in-one-printer can't be installed and I can't access https sites.

I hope you can help me.

Best regards,
Ronnie

When you say your printer cant be installed do you mean the computer does not see the printer when it's plugged in? If you've got the driver disks that came with your printer try uninstalling them all and then re-installing them again.

Run then update the definitions in Malwarebytes. Let it scan the machine and remove anything it finds.

Regarding your https problem.

On the Tools menu, click Compatibility View Settings.
Click to select the Display all websites in Compatibility View check box, and then click Close.
If this works, but you do not want the compatibility option for all sites, you can be selective.
Much the same as above,but:
  1. Enter the address of the Web site that is not displayed correctly or that does not work correctly, and press ENTER.
  2. Click the Compatibility View icon that is located to the right of the address barIf this method worked
Go to the address of the Web site that you cannot view.
Click the Compatibility View settings item in the Tools tab.
You should find the address of the site you are trying to view, is listed. "Add" it to the pane at the bottom.
Whilst in thgis option, you may like to try the small optional squares at the bottom of the pane.

The printer is recognized and shows an icon in list of printers. It shows also a mistake: HP PSC 950 printer does not have a driver.
The HP site says that no new drivers have to be downloaded, because the drivers are already included in windows 7. No luck for me I guess.
Anyway I tried to install the old windows XP drivers, but these are not compatible with W7. Do you have anymore suggestions?

Best regards,
Ronnie

Old XP drivers do not work. The program you talk about I do not know and can also not find on the internet. I found the program Registry booster 2009, but it offers to clean only part of the system, unless I buy it of course :-)
Better to think one more time in my opinion.
Any ideas how to get this printer started?

The Windows 7 printer drivers, 32 or 64Bit, are here.
Base HP PSC 950: This has drivers for 64Bit or 32Bit here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...SeriesId=34579

Perhaps there is a small error in the driver file. Try downloading thes and then update from the device manager. Point the update to your downloaded files. You could also try updateing the device driver from the Internet option.

Thanks, I found this information also. The thing is that when you click further it says that you do not have to download any drivers because they are already included in windows 7. For windows Vista it is the same story.

Best regards,
Ronnie

As I said, maybe your driver files on the installation DVD have become corrupt. I would download and install anyway.
If, for any reason, it stops you for the reason stated, go to this site:
http://www.bioticaindia.com/hp-psc-950.html

There can also be (sometimes) a hitch in installing printer drivers, if you have the Windows Firewall turned off - check the facility.
Was this possibly an ugraded OS?
