Hello everyone!,

I am having this huge problem with a computer! The guest account is the only one I can access. It has no administrator account! The computer is a dell inspiron one. It has the built in recovery repair on it, but when i try that it has no admin account to type the password in! Please help me with this as I am on a limited time frame, and I am not really familiar with computers. Thanks!

Also, it wont load in safe mode, I have already tried that!

I can't understand that Indian lady from dell and she keeps telling me to contact Microsoft but they try to charge, just to look at it. I'm pretty sure that there is not an admin account on this computer. When I try to run something as administrator, the user account control screen pops up and says "To continue, type administrator password then click OK." But here is the catch, there is not a box to enter the password!!! Could there be a setting that someone could have changed that doesn't allow the guest to type this in? I can pick up on computer knowledge quick if someone could explain this. Thanks again!

I wish I could help you on this one. Have you tried a Google search?

Dell should help you on this one, it's their computer therefore they should help you.

Keep calling until you get someone to help, or on the first call ask for a supervisor and get this resolved. Personally I think DELL's customer service is severely lacking and I wouldn't use a DELL if you gave it to me. (I know too much about them that's why I have this opinion.)

If you don't get any satisfaction and it's still under warranty send it back and get your money back and buy a decent computer.

"While working with a camera crew supervising flight testing of advanced aircraft at Edward's Air Force Base, California,
the camera crew filmed the landing of a strange disc object that flew in over their heads and landed on a dry lake nearby.
A camera crewman approached the saucer, it rose up above the area and flew off at a speed faster than any known aircraft."

---NASA astronaut, L. Gordon Cooper.

What have you tried to get into safe mode?
dell has a cocktail of options, accorsing to the model. Try, on boot,.
1, Ctrl+ F11 until you get the Dell Menu
2. F2, or F12, or F5 constantly.

If you are succesful, select the safe mode with command prompt and type,
at the command prompt net user administrator /active and enter.
Reboot normally and you should have an option to login as the Admin. You can then recreate a useraccount

When i load in safe mode, there still isn't an admin account option. Everything is still the same as before. Anymore suggestions?

Reinstall Windows ?
The computer should have a recovery partition. Backup your files, using a bootable DVD or usb thumd drive (Linux?), as you won't be able to do so from Windows.
