Hi

Code:
MY PC:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.8 Ghz
ATI radeon 4870 1GB DDR5
8GB ram
motherboard : Gigabyte
I'm having the folowing problems :
1: When I play a game , mostly it springs back to desktop after a while (Program doesn't react)
2: NFS shift and GTA4 are unable to play , NFS blocks on the startup ; GTA4 is very laggy

-So i thought it was my videodriver , downloaded the new one from ati , installed it , but still the same problem...
(driverdate was still the same after update )
- I searched my motherboard and installed new drivers , still the same problem...

Someone has an idea what my problem is?

thank you!

Yes. The problem could possibly be heat. Download and use ATI Tray Tools to set the fan at 100% while playing games and see how it goes.

What's the date on the driver you have installed now? (Latest is almost always best.)

I don't think it's something with the heat because NFS shift chrashes when the loadingbar appears.

Before the installation of the new drivers , the driverdate was 21/09/2009

After I downloaded the new drivers from ATI(yesterday) and installed them on my windows 7 professional , nothing seems to be different...
The date of the driver was still 21/09/2009.

I also have Directx 11.

What OS are you using, specifically is it 32 or 64bit? I am assuming it is 64bit... the driver for that card was updated 12/17/09 http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_ca...indows-7-64bit

Also worth mentioning, is the OS and games both fully patched and update to date? The OS will support DirectX11, but your graphics card is limited to DX10.1.
