Window 7 - XP mode

I got a new computer that came with Vista with 64 bit OS. But at best buy they gave an upgrade to windows 7. But my computer does not meet requirement to have windows XP virtual machine.

I want to have that windows XP virtual machine. Is there anything I could do?

You might have already found this, but here's a link to the page that describes the technical requirements of Windows 7, including the XP mode:

The long and short of it is this: if your processor isn't capable of hardware virtualization, then you can't run the XP Mode. If this is the issue, see if you can get a processor to swap in that will do this. If it's the memory or disk requirement, that solution is easier.

Thanks but one more think I found my laptop has intel dual core T4200 processor which don't have intel virtualization technology integrated, do you think i can upgrade my processor that has this intel virtualization technology in it with in reasonable price or have to get other computer.

If you built your laptop yourself, then contact the maker of your motherboard. If you purchased your laptop from a major manufacturer, contact them. I seriously doubt that it's upgradable in that case.

While that application may help a few, it doesn't solve all issues, especially printing. But you can run some programs with it, however, it wasn't worth the trouble for me. The app hangs or "locks up" at times, so I removed it from my computers altogether. If I had to rate the app, I'd give it 2.5 out of 5 stars. If you want or need XP, dual booting would be better, or Microsoft's Virtual PC if you meet the specs to run it.
