Win7 Freezing

My Fiancee's Laptop has been freezing (indefinitely) at random intervals, anywhere from when the computer is idle to when she is online surfing or on a messenger. She has Win 7 Pro which i got from MSDN. I did a fresh install. Please help.

Best thing to do is check all the posted posted solutions in this thread...
First being change the Power settings - to High performance from Balanced...

Windows 7 freezes
