Hi, iPwn.

Is this "bootable DVD" a genuine retail Windows 7 DVD?

Can you give us at least a basic description of your computer, including the
hard disk drive configuration? Have any other Windows or other operating
systems been installed on it?

Possible Causes
The DVD is not completely readable for some reason. Occasionally, I have
had just a few DVDs and CDs degrade due to poor quality blanks.
One is a genuine Far Cry 2 install DVD. (Really irritating)
Other possibilities have to do with the differences between DVD drives.
When CD/DVD drives became inexpensive, the quality of them also seemed
to decrease.
Finally, as a matter of pure curiosity, was the DVD a "commercial" copy,
or locally made?
I had to ask, since my DVD/CD "masters" are created from ISO files
downloaded directly from Microsoft. The ops system masters are usually
exactly the same as the appropriate retail version.
