Cannot get the XP Mode working, when asked for a password it goes to the
next screen where it has the setup button, it does nothing when this is
clicked?

Virtual Technology is set to on in the BIOS and checks out with the MS tool
in Win 7.

Any help appreciated.

Which password are you talking about? The one in the XP Mode window?

I got mine working without any problems. There are two files that need
to be downloaded from Microsoft: Windows6.1-KB958559-x64.msu, and
WindowsXPMode_en-us.exe.

You can install a WMware virtual machine, and install XP to wmware to get XP mode working under Windows 7.

Already downloaded the files and run in correct order and rebooted on the
first as required. The problem arises in the second file
WindowsXPMode_en-us.exe, when run it gets to the part where you have a
username set by the program and then asks for a password (twice), on the
next screen it has a button for setup, this is the part that does not work?
Any ideas anyone...

Try downloading it again, maybe you got a corrupt file?

Ot if you have a Windows XP CD use the best program for a virtual
machine which is VMWare player 3. I says player but will also allow
you to build a Virtual machine.
