Win7 print spooler consums all free CPU thus keeping the usage at 100%. System just crawls. My computer is a Dell Percision 450, 3.2 Ghz Pentium 4, 3gb ram, 250gb hard drive. Installed Win 7 from clean install. I DO NOT HAVE ANY PRINTERS INSTALLED. The system worked for five or six day ok then started the print spooler issue. I have scanned for viruses in safe mode and in regular mode and have not found any viruses. Any suggestions regard how to fix this issue?

There maybe a program trying to use the spooler. When you find which program is calling this service you can then make a decision on how to correct the issue.

ProcessExplorer 11.33 may help you track down the program.
