win 7 freezing and crashung.

i am using win7 ultimate 32 bit with a gigabyte g-ma785gpm mb amd phenom II 940 black series 4 gig of ram ddr 800 dual channell .
since installing win 7 just about every day after a couple of hours of use my pc gives a tick ticks noises and freezes. I reboot and sometimes it comes back and sometimes i have to remove the memory and then it restarts. When i check windows events in computer management I get the message " Kernel-power-system. "
Any ideas and helpwould be greatly appareciated

Thanks for your reply. I followed the article and found that my problem was the Power supply, changed it and waited to see results. Todate everything works fine. I had a 480 watt PS and changed to a 750watt. I guess win 7 needs more power than xp.

Thanks a lot for your help. Sorry i replied a little late but I wanted to make sure that the new PS would solve my Problem Thanks again
