Did you load all the latest drivers for your HP? Even though Windows 7 loads a lot of the drivers on its own, it is HIGHLY recommended that you install the proper chipset drivers, audio drivers and graphics drivers.

Always install the chipset drivers first, then the graphics drivers and so on.

Go to HP website and download the newest version of Windows 7 32 bit drivers for your model computer.

All the Windows 7 32 bit drivers for your laptop are HERE

This laptop has a LOT of drivers! Whew! Make sure you install the Intel Chipset Installation Utility driver first and then the Mobile Intel driver next and then the ATI Mobility Radeon Driver.

What exactly do you mean by freeze? Does the page also cloud over? My reason for asking, is that I first visited this forum with a freezing problem and at the same time the page would cloud over. I eventually tracked down the answer myself, in that a software item was causing it. Try as a first step, disabling all add ons, and see if that does the trick. This is what I did, and then re-activated them one by one until I found the culprit.

That is a general and disingenuous statement.

1. The majority of "Windows 7 Freeze" problems have been due to upgrade installs versus clean installs.

2. Drivers not being installed properly or in the proper order.

3. Installs on dual boot setups.

If people would just TAKE THE TIME to do it right the first time, then all these problems won't occur nearly as much. But, they HAVE TO HAVE Windows 7 installed RIGHT NOW, THIS MINUTE, CAN'T WAIT, GOTTA HURRY, etc., etc., etc.

Gustav Mahler was the worlds finest composer EVER.
It was Frank Zappa! Don't you know anything?

From Wikipedia:
Quote:
Zappa was a highly productive and prolific artist and he gained widespread critical acclaim. Many of his albums are considered essential in rock and jazz history, and he is regarded as one of the most original guitarists and composers of his time; he remains a major influence on musicians and composers. He had some commercial success, particularly in Europe, and for most of his career was able to work as an independent artist. Zappa was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.
Just giving ya a hard time!
