While there are many threads on this forum and others about there 64 bit computers "freezing", I can say that mine doesn't. I've had it four months now, I did replace my RAM, went from 2 to 4GB. The main reason for that was overall performance, and I make extensive use of VM's. A 64 bit computer with 2GB RAM can't run a VM without problems. I watch lots of video and news clips, and the only time that I had audio/video breakup was when I had Verizon Wireless a my ISP. Too slow for watching anything over 10 seconds long. But that had nothing to do with my computer being 64 bit. And some of these threads regarding purchasing a new computer and it "freezes", why don't they simply carry the product to be exchanged? A computer is like any other purchase, it has a warranty. If it freezes, it's defective somewhere, and the OEM is required to make it right. And if I were to buy one in that condition, a forum would be the last place on my list to visit. I'd be calling whoever sold me that lemon, and if they gave me the runaround, either my credit card issuer or PayPal (whichever I use) will make it right. There are millions of 64 bit computers sold each year. The number of complaints are small in comparison to the units sold, otherwise the OEM's would stop production of them. Don't allow a tiny number of complaints stop you from moving forward. And too, unless you buy second hand, or are lucky enough to find a overstock somewhere, 64 bit is all that's on the shelves. Unless you're looking for a netbook.
