Using a tuner card in my computer. When I mute the sound in Media Center Live TV, it mutes all the Windows sound. Any way to get around this? Would like to be able to mute the Live TV & run closed captioning while keeping all the other Windows sounds. Can't seem to find any options to set.

Tuner card is a Avermedia M791-B.

That's what Mute does. It disbles any sound output, until you un-mute it. Why don't you just lower the volume. In Windows 7 if you right click on the speaker icon on the lower right side of the taskbar and select Open Volume Mixer you can configure the sound volume seperately for Windows sounds, WMP/WMC and any other programs/games that use sound. You only get options this way for the programs that are currently open/running. Hope that solves your problem.

Your welcome. All that mute basically does is temporarily Mute (disable) all sounds until you un-mute.
