customising a new PC at http://www.buildyourbox.co.uk/ and they have the choice of windows 7 home premium, proffesional and ultimate 64bit, what are he advantages of getting anything other than home premium?

If you need Virtual PC - XP mode or Group Policy editor then get Professional.
If you need multi-language support or drive level encryption get Ultimate.

Either way, I recommend 64-bit. That is the way of the future. 32-bit is phasing out.
