Have you looked at newegg combo's for your rig?
There are some that would be better(psu, mobo, ram) and less.
This one has a z68 asus board,g skill ram and thrmolake psu for $880 plus add $18 for dvd player.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboB...t=Combo.722609
This one is just like your build for $705
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboB...t=Combo.720304

complete list
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Size=10&page=1

any parts you buy from newegg make sure to look at combo's for that part.
Some will come with free stuff in combo or even be less$ and free stuff like this 2600k one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.722020

At least with graphics on the chip for the 2600k you can look for a gpu at any time.
If you get the 2600k oc'ing will make gaming better and if/when you sell it the 2600k will be worth more, easier to sell

edit, if you want you can try windows 8 developer (free) while you look for a windows 7 os

I used windows 7 prerelease candidate for a year on 1 rig.
Just remember that you can't save anything when you go to another os from prerelease(I think)

Does your school qualify for this?

Wow. That's a lot of information. No, my school is too cheap for that.

Those combos look good, the only problem is that I'd like to change a couple of parts.
