I just installed Win 7 Rc 64 bit and am running Visual Studio 2008 Pro
Version 9.0.30729.1 SP
Net Framework 3.5 SP1
And am running a few large apps.
The app shows 246MB memory used for devenv.exe *32 and
the same app on vista 32 bit machine shows 94mb used.
Needless to say, it is very slow.
Devenv.exe shows 19MB with no programs loaded on the Vista machine
And 58 MB on the Win7 Machine

The computer is a Lenovo, dual core 64 bit with 4GB RAM
The Vista machine is Shuttle Dual Core 32 bit with 4GB RAM
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Bob

I downloaded the Windows SDK for Vs 2008 for a different problem and that seems to have fixed the 64 bit speed problem.
Don't know why, but I'm a happy camper.
