According to this statement, yes.

It’s going to run on laptops, it’s going to run on desktops, it’s going
to run on PCs with mouse and keyboard,” says Microsoft’s Jensen Harris
after demonstrating the Windows 8 interface in the company video below.
”It’s going to run on everything.”

I was agreeing and expounding on what you said. I do believe I was
the one who did not make that clear.

OK, then I'm sorry for misunderstanding you. And thanks for agreeing.

i thought i should chime in here with a few points , for appliances , cnc
machines , touch screens
are fantastic . there here now on some things so this next generation
interface will become more
prevalent . WE will for the most part learn how to use it and when to
incorporate it into daily lives.

butt the next generation interface after this one , will be sonic or
laser position sensors that
can "see" hand gestures , read them use them. We will keep screwing around
with physical
stuff until cybernetic implant tech works safely and well . after that or
during that full processor
implants augmented memory , wireless interfaces . some humans will be
hybrid creatures ,
if they can can afford hardware upgrades.

ghost in the shell its not just a cartoon its a prediction.
