VIA HD audio deck doesn't recognise my TV

As the title says, I'm using the HDMI out on my motherboard (m4a88t-m usb3) so that i may use my tv as a screen. When i turn the tv over to HDMI input the sound is automaticaly diverted to the tv, However if i were to switch the sound to my speaker output in the VIA software (So i may use my headphones) i cannot switch the sound back to the TV using VIA, I have to go into control panel and choose from there.

Any ideas? Any input on software to use for multiple screens in this format is also greatly appreciated
