"VDeck.exe - Bad Image" pop up

Hi,
Whenever I log on I keep getting a pop up box titled "VDeck.exe - Bad Image". Inside the box it reads "C Windows\system32\msdmo.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Install program again" etc.
I haven't a clue as to why this started appearing nor if I need to worry about it but I would like to stop it appearing every time.
Any ideas please?

Okay if you want the message to stop appearing you need to remove it from the list of start up programs. You can do this by pressing ctrl+R so the run box comes up, then typing "msconfig" without quotes and hitting enter. Then click the "startup" tab at the top and look for vdeck.exe (it may say audiodeck, HDAudDeck, or something else, if you look in the command column you should see a command like C:\path\vdeck.exe). After you locate it, uncheck the box beside vdeck or whatever name it comes up as (remember check the command colume to make sure this is one in the list trying to execute the Vdeck.exe program). then click apply at the bottom and restart your computer. I don't know what vdeck.exe is but if you want the message to stop removing the program from the startup list will prevent it from loading every time you log in.

You may wan't to remove other programs from the start up list as well to boost system performance but make sure you double check what you are removing so you don't remove anything important. Also could somebody figure out what "VDeck.exe" is? I did some google searches but it came up a little foggy, first of all im behind parental software at a school, second of all I have to get back to work, so somebody figure this out plz.

Just a quick note.

ctrl+R does not bring up the run box on my system so I want say you can click start and type "run" (without the quotes) and the run box will be one of the options presented to you. I have also enabled it in my start menu.

Edit: VDeck ,exe has something to do with VIA audio drivers. Perhaps a driver update is needed.

The real VDeck.exe is located in the 'C:\Program Files\VIA\VIAudioi\VDeck\ and is about 14MB and is a form of notifier if I remember right ... But Malware may call its self the same or very close to it, be a good idea to run something like Malwarebytes. VDeck is not essential to your system, you could make a system restore point / or OS backup and remove it.

It's not "Ctrl + R", it's the "Windows Key + R".

Press the "Windows Key + R" for the Run Box.

lol yea. I'm a little embarresed i guess, I keep getting shortcuts messed up when i write them down, but I know how to do them. More often then not its a subconcious process... weird huh lol. Anyway thanks for correcting me clifford and thanks and thanks yodap for suggesting an alternative means of opening the command box.

As I was reading I thought of what I believe is an even easier method to open msconfig... Simply click start, type "msconfig" without the quotes and then hit enter.

I removed it from the start up menu and also removed the VIA file from Program files believing I do not need it and that something was probably wrong with it. [I just wonder why it was there in the first place] The pop up has now stopped appearing and the audio through windows media player has not been affected. The VIA folder still sits in my recycle bin at the moment in case I need it.
