upgrading from vista 64 to win 7 64

I will be receiving a full version of Win 7 Ultimate. When I install will I be able to choose an upgrade option?

Yes, you'll be able to choose between either upgrade option or Custom (clean install).

To get the most benefit and experience fewer problems most all are recommending that you do a clean install. Your Windows 7 will run faster and better.

I know its a pain to do a clean install, with re-installing all your software, etc., but in the long run you won't regret. However, the choice is yours.

Just be sure all your drivers are up to date.

it is better to do clean install than upgrading from vista!

Yes it is, due to the fact that your clean install won't be carrying any of the other stuff from the previous OS. Windows 7 will run much quicker and be more responsive. When people upgrade only, a few month later the OS starts bogging down and gets buggy.
