Yahoo hijacking Chrome browser

I've just noticed recently that every time I type in some search terms
in the Chrome address bar, the results come back from the Yahoo search
engine. Why, when Chrome is Google's product? Right now I can only
invoke the Google search engine by typing in the search terms in the
Google.com search field. Is there a way to get rid off Yahoo from Chrome?

Yes, look in your browser settings and change it. You will probably find
it under "Tools" on the browser menu. It hasn't anything to do with the
Operating system (Windows 7)

You're right. Apparently McAfee SiteAdvisor changed it to Yahoo at a
recent update. It's back to Google now.
Thanks.

I knew that but I didn't want to subscribe to a another news group for
just that one issue when there are so many experts here who probably
have the right answer at their finger tips. Like you.

If it reoccurs after rebooting, here is a search term for you to try in
"google"

chrome search changes to yahoo
